July 2001: Osprey Rescue by Steve Ceskowski

Photo 3. I carefully grabbed the osprey by the neck and talons. I removed the pike from the hooks and then carefully removed the treble hook from the bird's two legs. The osprey was remarkably calm during this procedure. My wife Jan was, incredibly, shooting pictures and positioning the canoe at the same time.
